OMEGA DC-AC POWER INVERTER

Thank you for choosing the Omega DC-AC Power Inverter. We hope it will be satisfactory and will bring best service to you. The inverter can transform the electrical energy of 12V direct into the energy of 230V alternating current that can be used in appliances, such as TV, radio, fax machine, hair clipper, etc. The inverter possesses functions such as overload protection, short circuit protection, exceeding temperature protection and so on.

Operation procedure of turning on the inverter:

  1. Turn the “on-off” switch of the inverter to “OFF”
  2. Take the red crocodile clamp and nip the positive (+) and the black crocodile clamp and nip the negative pole (-) of the battery. (NB: The connections must be correct).
  3. Insert the outlets of your appliances into the suitable sockets on the front of the inverter. (NB: The total nominal power of your appliances must NOT over-run the power of the inverter)
  4. Turn on the inverter. The green LED light on the inverter must turn on, which will mean there’s alternating voltage present.
  5. Your appliances should now start working.

Operation procedure of turning off the inverter:

Turn the “on-off” switch of the inverter to “OFF”.  (NB: If you don’t turn off the switch of the inverter, it will waste about 1.5W of energy)

The functions of protection:

  1. Overloading protection: When you load too many appliances and the total power is on overload, the inverter will stop working within twenty seconds. The red LED light will come on. To reduce the load turn the “on-off” switch to “OFF” for about 10 seconds and then try switching it back on again.
  2. Short circuit protection: Once an appliance gets a short circuit, the inverter will stop working within two seconds. The red LED light will come on and the inverter will be fixed on a protection state. Repeat the latter of step 1.
  3. Exceeding temperature protection: When the inverter starts to overload or the ventilation around it is bad, the temperature of the inverter will increase. Repeat the latter of step 1.

NOTE: 

  1. The inverter is built so that the battery is placed right next to it during usage. Do NOT lengthen the wires of the two crocodile clamps.
  2. The red crocodile clamp nips onto the positive (+) pole and the black crocodile clamp nips onto the negative (-) pole. If these two are nipped on opposites by mistake, the inverter will get damaged.
  3. Before nipping on the crocodile to their respective “poles”, ensure that it is switched off completely.
  4. The inverter should be put in a well-ventilated area.
