MR POWER MP-800 INVERTER MANUAL

Thank you for choosing Mr. Power product.  Please read this guide thoroughly before using and keep it safe for reference in need.

 

Profile of Product:

MP-800 can convert AC 220V to DC 12V to charge lead acid battery with rated capacity 60AH – 12 AH

MP-1200 can convert AC 220V to DC 12V to charge lead acid battery with rated capacity 120AH – 200 AH.

MP-1600 can convert AC 220V t DC 24V to charge lead acid battery with rated capacity 120AH – 200AH.

With protection from short circuit (wrong pole connection) and overload, MP-800/1200 can convert DC 12V to AC 220V; MP-1600 can convert DC 24V to AC 220V, such as TV set, DVD player, fax machine, desktop etc.

 

Operation Procedure:

Charging:

  1. Turn the power switch to “OFF”. Clamp the red clip to (+) pole, make sure they are connected properly, please connect it with the products referring to figure A
  2. Insert the plug of the unit into the power socket, turn the switch to “ON”. Then the lamp CHARGING becomes red in 2 seconds.  At this time, the ammeter “CURRENT” indicates about 15A.  The ventilation fan starts to work automatically once the inside temperature of unit rises over 45˚  After charging for 8-10 hours, the hand of ammeter will go to about 3A.  The lamp Charging turns blue, which means its fully charged.  The charging can prolonged for more 1-2 hours, then terminate.
  3. When charging is completed, turn the switch to “OFF” before any other operation.

 

Inverting:

  1. Turn the power switch to “OFF”, clamp the red clip to (+) pole, the black one to (-). Make sure they are connected properly.
  2. Insert the plug of appliance to AC output socket of the unit. Do not overload
  3. Turn the switch to “ON”. Then the lamp inverting will be on which means AC power is being supplied to appliances.  Ammeter CURRENT INDICATOR indicates input current. If its hand exceeds the max value, it means that the total power of household appliances exceeds the rated output capacity of inverting.  And it is recommended to reduce the usage of some electrical appliances.
  4. Please turn the switch to “OFF” after using it. 5W will be wasted per hour if not being turned off.

 

Automatic Transfer Function:

The socket outlet AC OUTPUT of the unit supplies working voltage for household appliance when charging the battery.  Once power blackout happens, the unit starts to invert DC 12V/24V to AC 220V.  It can be used as uninterruptible Power System for desktop, cashier registrar etc.  When the power resumes, it will continue to charge the battery.

 

Protection Functions:

  1. Wrong pole connection: when wrong pole connection happens, the output power will be cut off automatically.  Meanwhile ammeter and indicator stop working.  After the connection is corrected, the unit will resume charging
  2. Overload: if the output current exceeds the max value of unit for a long time during inverting, the lamp “PROTECT” will be on. The output power will be cut off.  The hand of ammeter goes to “0” and the unit enters into protection state.  Now you should turn the switch to “OFF” and reduce the usage of electrical appliances.
  3. Short circuit: if short circuit occurs when connecting appliance, the output power will be cut off in 5 seconds, the lamp “PROTECT” will be on. The hand of ammeter goes to “0”.  The unit enters into protection state.  Turn the switch to “OFF” and disconnect the appliance and fix it before use.

 

Maintenance & Precautions:

  1. This unit must be plugged into an earthed socket outlet and used in well ventilated place. Keep away from rain and dust.
  2. Don’t put vase or something alike which contains liquid on top of the unit. Never let water or other liquid into the unit.
  3. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified technician to avoid danger of electric shock.
  4. Never charge non-rechargeable batteries and choose correct voltage to charge. For example 12V to 6V battery.
  5. Charge battery only in dry and well ventilated place
  6. Due to the unsteady input power voltage, it’s normal that the hand of ammeter swings lightly during charging.
  7. When in protection state, the unit can resume working later. Please check whether the charging current is too powerful or there is short circuit, then eliminate malfunction and carry on using it.
